Village of Phoenix Volunteer Service Awards

The Village of Phoenix Volunteer Service Awards recognize High School Junior and Senior volunteers for their community service efforts and valuable contributions in the Village of Phoenix, NY and surrounding community. We encourage all eligible individuals to apply below!

As a Certifying Organization, Bridge House Brats will review, verify, and present the Village of Phoenix Volunteer Service Awards together with the Village of Phoenix.

There will be Silver and Gold awards based on volunteer service hours.

  • Silver — 500 volunteer hours
  • Gold — 1,000 volunteer hours

Eligibility

  • Must be a High School Junior or Senior enrolled in the Phoenix School District or heavily involved in Village of Phoenix programs and volunteerism.
  • Must have 500+ hours to be eligible for the Silver Award or 1000+ hours to be eligible for the Gold Award
  • United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e., green card holder)
  • Completed eligible service within a 5 year period from 8th–12th grade
Eligible Service:
  • Unpaid acts of volunteer service benefitting others
    • Service through National service programs that provide a stipend (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps)
    • Travel stipends, transit/parking passes, membership passes, expense reimbursements, and other nominal volunteer support do not impact service eligibility
Eligible Service does not include:
  • Donating funds
  • Political lobbying (Non-partisan voter registration is an eligible activity)
  • Religious instruction
  • Conducting worship service
  • Proselytizing
  • Volunteer service performed as part of court-ordered community service
  • Serving only family members

Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026.
